After Oregon exit, could former U.S. Army All-American DT Rutger Reitmaier land in SEC?

A former U.S. Army All-American is on the move, and a pair of SEC rivals are potential landing places for his next college destination.

True freshman defensive tackle Rutger Reitmaier, who enrolled in January, has left Oregon and plans to transfer. He was a three-star prospect considered one of the top-25 defensive nationally in the 2017 recruiting class.

His next stop? Maybe Tennessee or Vanderbilt.

Reitmaier (6 feet 3, 270 pounds) played his high school football at Nashville Lipscomb Academy and UT and Vandy heavily recruited him. Tennessee was considered a favorite to land him before he picked Oregon.
