VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Friday that Reynold Stewart has been appointed as an associate head coach of the Kootenay Academy Centre in Nelson, BC.
Stewart will support current Kootenay associate head coaches Sam Heap and Drissa Bouare, and work under Brett Adams, who is associate head coach of the Academy Centre network across Canada.
Originally from Tsawwassen, Stewart had a successful playing career on the pitch. A local player, he was on the Whitecaps FC 2004 U-14 Super Y League team that made it to the North American Championships in Florida.
