Whitecaps FC U-19 Residency played their final match of the 2017 Winter Showcase in Lakewood Ranch, Florida on Sunday, falling 2-1 in a tight match against an unbeaten New York Red Bulls team.
The ‘Caps opened the scoring in the 15th minute on a goal from Georges Mukumbilwa. But the Red Bulls came back with goals in the 32nd and 63rd minutes to take the victory.
Head coach Rich Fagan and his team now return home, while the U-17s play their final match of the Winter Showcase on Monday against the U-17 New York Red Bulls.
