Whitecaps FC U-17 Residency concluded their play at the 2017 Winter Showcase with a hard-fought match against the second ranked New York Red Bulls, falling by a 3-2 final score.
Scott Taylor had all three goals for the Red Bulls. He opened the scoring just two minutes into the match before the ‘Caps responded to tie it up at 1-1 on a Chance Carter goal in the 22nd minute.
After going into the break at 1-1, the Red Bulls retook the lead on 55 minutes. A 74th minute red card to New York saw the ‘Caps up a man for the remainder of the match, but it was the Red Bulls who scored the next goal on 81 minutes to go up 3-1.
