This coming Thursday, Whitecaps FC begin play at the 2017 Development Academy Winter Showcase. The 'Caps are regularly among the best academy sides in the 74-team academy league, and this annual event provides an opportunity for the U-19 and U-17 teams to test themselves against some of the top competition outside of their conference.
First team winger Alphonso Davies will be joining the U-19s for the showcase. It will be a chance for the Homegrown player to re-join his peers as he continues his development with an eye towards his second full MLS season in 2018.
