Whitecaps FC U-19 Residency opened the Winter Showcase with a 3-2 defeat against Sockers FC.
After going down 3-0, the ‘Caps made a number of halftime changes and put forth a comeback effort with a pair of second half goals. First it was Jefferson Alade heading home a cross after great wide play between Theo Bair and Jake Ruby, then it Nicholas Fussell calmly finishing after a run down the wing and cutback pass from Alphonso Davies.
However it was not enough as Sockers scored one more in the final minute for a 4-2 win.
