The younger 'Caps pulled out a nail-biting 3-2 victory over LA Galaxy Academy to win Group C and advance to the quarterfinals.
It was a fantastic start for the 'Caps when an early flurry of attacks led to striker Jose Hernandez being brought down in the box. The team's leading scorer then calmly stepped up and finished it for his fourth goal in three playoffs matches, and a 1-0 lead.
