The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenseman Evan McEneny to a two-year two-way contract. McEneny played one game as a late-season call-up for the Canucks after a stellar season with the AHL Utica Comets.

The 23-year-old undrafted blueliner made big strides this past season after spending much of the 2015-16 campaign in the ECHL. In 64 games in the latest AHL season, McEneny recorded eight goals and 23 points to rank third in defenseman point totals in Utica.

At 6-foot-2 and 223 pounds, McEneny certainly has the size to play in the NHL.
