Take a deep breath Vancouver Canucks fans, the days of Derrick Pouliot are over. I wish it wasn’t good news, but the fact of the matter is, this is terrific news. We all knew it was coming, but there was that sliver of doubt that the Canucks would re-sign the 25-year-old defenceman.
The Canucks have made the decision to not qualify Derrick Pouliot ’ s contract. Pouliot will be a ufa and can get a fresh start with another team starting July 1st.
That’s exactly what Pouliot needs, a fresh start.
