There is one piece of speculation that may make Canucks fans cringe, too.
Carolina Hurricanes forward Micheal Ferland is reportedly on the radar of Canucks management, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. Vancouver fans may quiver at this possibility, given Ferland’s history against the team. The former Calgary Flame was a thorn in the side of the Canucks in their 2015 first round playoff series.
His brute physicality and frustrating playing style was a key factor in Calgary’s six-game series win over the Canucks.
