The Vancouver Canucks finished the 2015-16 season 28th in the league, but went through the summer without a major roster overhaul. Loui Eriksson came in, Radim Vrbata is back in Phoenix, which should help the scoring issues. Erik Gudbranson came in, Dan Hamhuis was let go to sign in Dallas — we’ll have to wait and see how that shakes out. But the Canucks also made some smart depth signings that could surprise everyone once the season gets going.
