It looks like Loui Eriksson might not get the chance to play out his six-year, $36 million dollar contract at the NHL level.
The Vancouver Canucks announced on Monday morning that they’ve waived Eriksson and Sven Baertschi for the purpose of AHL assignment. If both players clear waivers, they could either be named to the Canucks taxi squad, or they could be designated for assignment with the Utica Comets in the AHL.
