Jake Virtanen leads Canada in 7-1 Win over the Czech Republic At Summer Showcase

Bruising Canucks prospect Jake Virtanen was a force last night, finishing with two goals and an assist in Team Canada's second game of four straight at the World Junior Summer Showcase. Brayden Point, the Tampa Bay Lightning's 79th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, dominated on the scoresheet with two goals and three assists. New Jersey Devils goaltending prospect Mackenzie Backwood put aside 26 shots.

From purely a Vancouver Canucks perspective, Team Canada's second game at the World Junior Summer Showcase in Calgary was much more appealing to the fans of the blue and green.
