Brandon Prust insists he is excited about the trade that made him a Vancouver Canuck. His fiancée, not so much.
At least not initially.
Prust and Montreal TV personality Maripier Morin were on the final day of their two-week vacation to Italy, during which the longtime couple became officially engaged, when the news broke.
“Obviously, my girl works in Montreal and does TV there and we’re going to have some long distance for a little bit,” Prust said during a conference call Friday. “She was definitely very upset — you know how girls get — but for me, I am excited.
