New UTEP women's basketball coach Kevin Baker said Saturday that point guard Lulu McKinney will use the graduate transfer option and will not return to UTEP next season.
Baker made the announcement on Brandon Cohn's ESPN radio show on AM-600 Saturday.
McKinney, a 5-foot-7 senior-to-be from Houston, will be eligible immediately at whatever school she chooses to attend. She graduated from UTEP in three years and was a member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2015 and again in 2017.
McKinney was UTEP's starting point guard last season and was fifth in Conference USA in assists, averaging 4.
