UTEP will host Rice Sunday at noon in a Conference USA volleyball match in Memorial Gym.
The Miners and Owls had a dramatic five-set match on Sept. 23 in Houston, with Rice taking the fifth and final set 15-11. Rice is 14-9 overall and 6-2 in conference play. The Miners are 4-17 overall and 2-6 in conference play — with three five-set losses in conference matches.
The Miners are led in kills by freshman Macey Austin who has 187. Senior Lindsey Larson leads the team in assists, is second in kills and is also second in blocks.
