Excitement and optimism haven't always been abundant commodities around the UTEP women's soccer team. Both came barreling through the door in December when Montwood grad Gibbs Keeton was hired as the fourth coach in program history.
There's plenty of work to do with a program that went 4-11-3 last year, a fairly typical result in the recent history of the program, and so far Keaton has loved the way his team has attacked it. They will show some of their work Thursday night in the regular season home opener against Northern Arizona.
