One day she was running with the wind, laughing at the joy that came with her speed and athleticism. And one day she was in a wheel chair.
Today Ariel Blair — a young woman with nerves of steel, an unshakable faith and a heart bigger and warmer than this southwest desert sky — will join her UTEP Miners when they host Southern Miss in a Saturday doubleheader and a single game Sunday. And Blair will be playing one of the game's most athletic positions, center field.
