UTEP Miners volleyball begins practice for 2020 season

Last season as a freshman, Alianza Darley made a major impact on the UTEP volleyball team, giving coaches and teammates a look into what the future will be like.

Last season, the 5-foot-11-inch outside hitter from Las Vegas, New Mexico, tallied 132 kills, 54 blocks and against nationally-ranked Rice, she slammed home 12 kills. She did all that despite missing time due to an ankle injury.

"I just want to continue my growth this year and build off of what I did last year," Darley said. "Coming in this season a year older is much different. I have a greater feel for what is expected and I feel more comfortable.
