UTEP's Michael Saruni made sure he left nothing to chance in Wednesday's preliminaries of the NCAA Track and Field Championships.
Saruni's teammate Jonah Koech and Houston's Brian Barraza, a Franklin alum, left a lot to chance and lived to get away with it.
Florida's KeAndre Bates, a Burges alum, ended up seventh in the long jump final as he came up short in a national title defense.
