SportsCenter led off one of its morning broadcasts with highlights from UTEP's basketball games against Florida International University.
No kidding.
The double-overtime victory by the UTEP men's basketball team and the triple-overtime loss by the UTEP women's team had drama, but ESPN's flagship show was more interested in the fact that both scores were 88-87 and ended with buzzer-beating shots.
The eerie circumstances include, same two schools, same score, multiple overtimes, last second shots and a win for each school.
Too bad it missed Friday the 13th by one day.
Plenty of bad going on with UTEP basketball this year ('Fire Floyd' signs, losing streaks and player suspensions), but for at least one night the fans were able to jump out of their seats in excitement.
