A UTEP women's basketball team pushed to the brink with six healthy players took Old Dominion well into the fourth quarter, but the Miners' heart and fight were ultimately done in by a lack of firepower in a 78-59 loss to a Monarchs team that won its fifth straight game.

A Miners team that came in with eight healthy players lost two of those, as Jordan Jenkins and Alexa Hoy both went out with injuries, but UTEP was within 8 points in the fourth quarter before running out of gas Thursday morning in Norfolk, Va.
