A long, rushed, contested, last second 3-pointer by Omega Harris went awry and UTEP dropped a 56-54 decision to McGill University Wednesday evening in the first game of the Miners' Costa Rica trip.
It was the first of three exhibition games the Miners will play in the capital city of San Jose this week in the Central American nation.

McGill, a Canadian university, led UTEP 17-12 after the first 10-minute quarter but the Miners rallied and took a 32-30 halftime lead. McGill came right back and led UTEP 43-40 after three quarters.
