Early in the fourth quarter of their Mountain West Conference opener at home against the Air Force Falcons, the Utah State Aggies had a first and goal at the 8-yard line trailing by seven.
The Aggies had to settle for a field goal, however, and didnt get any closer in a 27-20 loss.
Down by 14 inside of a minute remaining, Utah State cut the lead to seven on a Tonny Lindsey Jr. rushing touchdown, but couldnt recover the ensuing onside kick with 32 seconds remaining.
In addition to falling to 2-2 on the year, Utah State was also bitten by the injury bug on Saturday.
