Utah on Friday announced the hiring of Ute softball star Hannah Flippen to be an assistant coach with the program.
Flippen will replacing Maggie Livreri, who spent seven seasons with the Utes and is leaving to become the head coach at 2018 Mountain West Conference champions Boise State.
“Today is a great day for the Utes,” Utah softball coach Amy Hogue said in a news release. “We have hired Hannah and I could not be happier for our program. Change is hard and with Maggie leaving to become a head coach, there were big shoes to fill.
