USU track: Leaugen Fray wins long jump title on second day of Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships

Utah State’s track and field teams continued the 2017 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The Aggie men ended the day in fourth place with 28 points, while the women ended in ninth with 14 points.

Sophomore Leaugen Fray led the way on day two, earning first-team all-conference honors by winning the men’s long jump title with a personal-best mark of 7.52m, which ranks third all-time in USU history. Additionally, Fray placed second in the high jump by clearing a height of 2.12m, which ranks sixth all-time in school history.
