Rockmonster Unplugged: USU grad in incident highlighting bad side of sports

Sometimes after a loss, you want to strangle someone.

In one reporter’s opinion, it actually happened.

KWTX-TV in Waco, Texas, said Baylor University associate athletic director Heath Nielsen, a 1994 graduate of Utah State, was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge a few days after a 40-point loss to TCU on Nov. 5.

According to Texas Blaze News reporter James McBride, he was attempting to take a photo of himself with a player on the field, but was attacked by Nielsen. McBride said he was grabbed by the throat.

Team rules prohibit interviewing athletes as they come off the field.
