Man jailed on charges he threatened a mass shooting at a Utah Walmart

A Clearfield man was booked into jail early Friday on charges that he threatened to commit a mass shooting at a St. George-area Walmart — a threat that was being shared on social media.

Milton Bowcutt, 26, faces charges of threat of violence, a class-B misdemeanor; possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, a class-A misdemeanor; and possession of a controlled substance, a class-B misdemeanor. And the St. George Police Department is reassuring residents that the threat has been eliminated.

“PLEASE READ AND SHARE," it posted on Facebook. “The suspect behind this threat was located and arrested last night by police agencies on the east side of the county.
