Guard Rylan Bergersen follows Jahshire Hardnett out the door at BYU. Both are transferring, coach Dave Rose announces

Last week, junior guard Jashshire Hardnett said on Twitter that he is leaving BYU as a graduate-transfer with one season of eligibility remaining.

Bergersen, 6-foot-6, played two seasons for BYU but averaged just 1.9 points and 0.7 rebounds in his career in Provo. He hasn’t played more than 10 minutes in a game since getting 12 minutes against Pepperdine on Jan. 17.

Bergersen, from Boise, will have to sit out next year due to NCAA transfer rules and will have two years of eligibility remaining. He has put his name in the NCAA’s transfer portal.
