Three more men have been arrested in connection with the shooting at Fashion Place Mall on Sunday, but police say the suspected shooters have not been apprehended.
Flaviano Aguilar, 20; Arian Huerta, 20; and Steven Perez-Hernandez, 18, have been booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of rioting and other charges.
Aguilar, Huerta, Perz-Hernandez and “fellow Florencia 13 gang members” confronted members of a “rival gang” at the Murray mall on Sunday afternoon, according to a probable cause statement.
Members of both gangs “agreed to go outside and continue the confrontation,” when one member of each gang each pulled out a gun and “exchange[ed] gunfire.
