Utah Jazz: Rudy Gobert Left Off of All-Defensive Team

The NBA All-Defensive Team for the 2015-16 season was revealed on Wednesday and, for Utah Jazz fans, the announcement ultimately proved to be a disappointment. One might even say they were stifled by the league’s panel of voters.

Rudy Gobert, who was perhaps the team’s best hope at garnering some year-end recognition from the league, didn’t receive enough support in the voting process to usurp Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside for second-team honors.

The Stifle Tower did receive 17 first-team votes and led the “others receiving votes” crew with 64 total points, but 83 of 130 voters left the big man completely off their ballots.
