Quin Snyder took the helm as head coach of the Utah Jazz in June 2014. Though somewhat of a mystery to Utah, his coaching resume was lengthy and peppered with great mentors along the way.
Snyder filled assistant coaching positions with the L.A. Clippers, L.A. Lakers, CSKA Moscow, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers and Duke. He also led the Missouri Tigers and the NBA D-League team the Austin Torros as head coach. Snyder was mentored throughout this time by Mike Krzyzewski, Ettore Messina, Mike Budenholzer and more.
When asked about the process of hiring coaches, Randy Rigby stated "The Jazz don't hire a new coach, they marry one.
