Texas State breaks men's basketball team's 11-game winning streak

For the first time in almost two years, Texas State defeated the men’s basketball team.

Texas State (9-6, 2-1) snapped UTA’s (12-4, 2-1) 11-game winning streak with an 81-73 win Saturday at Strahan Coliseum. The loss was UTA’s first against Texas State since a loss in the 2015 Sun Belt Championships.

The Bobcats started the game with an aggressive 8-0 run and didn't trail during the first half.

With 2:50 left in the half, junior forward Kevin Hervey hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 37, but Texas State took a 40-39 lead into the second half.
