LOS ANGELES >> USC forward Bennie Boatwright, who has been out with a knee injury for nearly two months, was formally ruled out for Wednesday’s game against crosstown rival UCLA.
Coach Andy Enfield said after the Trojans’ 82-79 victory over Arizona State that Boatwright would not play against the third-ranked Bruins.
The 6-foot-10 sophomore started practicing in recent days, but has been limited to non-contact drills, including running, shooting and some light walk-through sets.
“With no defense out there,” Enfield said, “just to get him out on the court and run through some offensive sets and defensive assignments without any contact.
