The A-B-C’s of the NCAA Tournament

The men’s NCAA basketball tournament, from A to Z:

A is for Arkansas’ Dusty Hannahs, a 3-point guy whose dad Gerald was a Dodgers pitcher. In 1979 Gerald got a save against Cincinnati and struck out the side: Joe Morgan, Dave Concepcion, George Foster.

B is for Florida’s Canyon Barry, son of Hall of Famer Rick, who shoots free throws underhand like the old man. He also is nationally prominent at badminton, graduated summa cum laude from College of Charleston and was an Eagle Scout.

C is for Creighton’s Justin Patton, a 7-footer who averaged nine points at his Omaha high school, redshirted at Creighton, and now shoots 69.
