Pac-12 to reduce number of night games, fine court/field storming

The Rose Bowl could play host to fewer night games this season.

In a press release from the Pac-12, the conference announced changes to football kickoff times that will reduce the number of night games on Pac-12 Networks, fines for court/field storming and plans for eSports competitions.

The changes were announced Tuesday.

In terms of night games, the Pac-12 modified the conference’s TV agreement with ESPN and FOX to allow games to start at either 2:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. and overlap with an ESPN or FOX exclusive TV window. The press release says the modifications are expected to reduce the number of night games on Pac-12 Networks by as many as four games.
