Former USC tight end Bryce Dixon arrested on carjacking charge

Former USC tight end Bryce Dixon was arrested Tuesday near campus and charged with carjacking, according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Dixon, 19, was arrested at 1 p.m. Tuesday for an incident that allegedly occurred on the 1200 block of Exposition Blvd., less than half a mile from the USC campus.

Dixon was being held Wednesay morning on $100,000 bail. The LAPD offered no further details on the arrest and cited the ongoing nature of the investigation.

According to the California Penal Code, carjacking is a felony and "is punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for a term of three, five or nine years.
