The son of former UCLA player Charles O’Bannon, the latest Trojan goes by ‘Chuck’ and becomes the first USC signee to have played in the McDonald’s All-American game since DeMar DeRozan in 2008. He signed his National Letter of Intent after having been previously committed to the Trojans since December.
“Chuck is an excellent all-around basketball player who is a great fit for our system” Andy Enfield said in a press release. “We are excited to add his offensive explosiveness and his size and length at the guard position.”
All-around is the key for the O’Bannon, as he’s a 6-foot-5 swingman who can play both shooting guard and small forward.
