The Trojans have inspired hope this season with a (temporary) rise to the top of the Pac-12 Conference and a decisive victory over their crosstown rivals, but head-scratching moments also have been plentiful, including stretches of USC’s 81-71 victory over Washington State on Thursday night at Galen Center.

USC, a team known for balanced scoring, got more of it, as Katin Reinhardt (18 points) led five USC scorers who reached double figures.
