U.S. U20 and Arsenal midfielder Gedion Zelalem has torn ACL - report

U.S. and Arsenal midfielder Gedion Zelalem injured his knee earlier this week while on international duty with the United States and could miss up to nine months, according to a report.

Zelalem started the United States' 3-3 draw with Ecuador at the Under-20 World Cup, but had to be substituted in the 34th minute due to injury. Football London reported that the U.S. U20 midfielder tore his ACL.

A source told ESPN FC: "It looks [that] way, yes," about a torn ACL and said the player will see a "consultant" back in the United States.
