It looks like Mix Diskerud wants to stay in Sweden. According to ESPNFC, Diskerud’s representatives are engaged in talks with MLS to extend his loan deal through the end of 2017. The original loan is set to expire on August 27th.
After struggling since mid-2016 to find the field for New York City FC, Mix joined Swedish side IFK Goteborg in March 2017. Diskerud’s lack of playing time at NYCFC hurt his United States Men’s National Team career. His last appearance for the USMNT was October 13, 2015.
