Joe Gyau is headed to MLS. The 26-year-old winger was acquired by FC Cincinnati at the close of the MLS transfer window last night. He was brought in via permanent transfer from 2. Bundesliga side MSV Duisburg.
Gyau leaves Duisburg after just one season, in which he had 2 goals and an assist in 20 appearances. He has bounced around several clubs in Germany over the course of his career, with injury-riddled stops at 1899 Hoffenheim, FC St. Pauli, Borussia Dortmund, and Sonnenhof Großaspach before last year’s move to Duisburg.
