REPORT Sean Johnson close to moving from Chicago Fire to Atlanta United

Could a move DOWN the map translate into a move UP the USMNT goalkeeper depth chart? We might be about to find out! (Sorry.)

Sam Stejskal of MLSSoccer.com reports that Sean Johnson may be moving from the Chicago Fire to newly minted MLS club Atlanta United. The deal is "all but done, but can't become official until the MLS trade window temporarily re-opens on Sunday, December 11th".

Johnson was the starter for Chicago from 2011 through 2015. However, he began last season as the backup before regaining the top spot. The Lilburn, Georgia native has made 176 career appearances, allowing 249 goals.
