American winger Joe Gyau is transferring from Borussia Dortmund’s reserve team to German third division club Sonnenhof Großaspach, the player’s father confirmed to Steven Goff on Monday.

Gyau, 24, joined Dortmund in 2014 and appeared one time for the first team while battling many injury problems. Unfortunately he was never able to reach his top form again after suffering a knee injury in his second ever USMNT cap against Ecuador on October 10, 2014.
