Based strongly on the USWNT's performance at the 2015 World Cup, Jill Ellis has been named FIFA's World Coach of the Year for women's football. She was nominated alongside England coach Mark Sampson and Japan coach Norio Sasaki.

Ellis thanked her parents and USSF president Sunil Gulati for believing and investing in the American women's program.
