In her first season at the helm of the Boston University Terriers women’s basketball team, former UConn Huskies assistant coach Marisa Moseley was named the Patriot League Coach of the Year by her peers this past week.
Moseley led BU to their first winning season in five years (15-13) and a No. 4 seed in the Patriot League Women’s Basketball Tournament after finishing 11-7 in conference play.
Her former boss at UConn, Geno Auriemma, reacted to the news after being asked on Sunday afternoon after his team crushed USF 81-45 in the semifinals of the American Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament.
