UConn Baseball Takes Weekend Opener Against Seton Hall

UConn Baseball earned its second straight victory Friday at Owen T. Carroll Field with a 2-1 comeback effort over Seton Hall.

Catcher Zac Susi had both of UConn’s RBI on his late double while third baseman Willy Yahn (2-for-4) had two of the Huskies’ six hits.

Tim Cate missed his start due to a violation of team rules, so UConn went pitcher-by-committee. Ronnie Rossomando, Doug Domnarski, Ryan Radue and John Russell combined to allow just one run on three hits. They struck out 11 Pirates, but Rossomando walked four in three innings of work.

Both teams struggled to find offense early.
