The UConn field hockey is 3-0 after taking down the Michigan State Spartans 5-0 in the Huskies’ home opener at George J. Sherman Family Complex.
UConn unveiled their 2017 national championship banner before the game on the wall of Hugh Greer Field House, the Huskies’ fifth title all-time.
Redshirt senior Cecile Pieper led the team with a pair of goals while junior Svea Boker, freshman Karo Kueskes and senior Amanda Collins also chipped in with a goal.
