Just over three weeks after announcing her decision to transfer from the UConn women’s basketball team, sophomore Lexi Gordon will continue her collegiate career closer to home with Texas Tech. Gordon, a 6-foot guard from nearby Hurst, Texas, said in a statement from Texas Tech that she is looking forward to being closer to her family.
“I chose Texas Tech because I felt at home on my visit. Every person I met made me feel valued and loved here. I strongly believe in Coach M’s vision,” Gordon said in the statement. “I will also have the amazing opportunity to play in the Big 12 where my family can attend several games.
