UConn men’s hockey landed a commitment from Jake Percival, an ‘02 forward out of Avon, Connecticut. He currently plays for the USHL’s Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and will join the Huskies in the fall of 2022.
Listed at 5-foot-11, 155 pounds, Percival is regarded as a well-rounded forward who can play in all situations and will contribute both on offensive and defensive. Though he isn’t fast, he’s an efficient, smart skater.
Last season with the Rochester Coalition 18U AAA, Percival recorded 14 goals and 21 assists in 35 games. He also spent three years at the Millbrook School in New York, totaling 32 goals and 37 assists in 65 games.
